Career Guidance Webinar - 18/06/2020

After the successful webinar on MSME Sector for Sikh Professionals and Businessmen, EduSikh along with Guru Singh Sabha Dadar and IMFS conducted a Career Guidance Webinar for GurSikh children who are finishing their 10th & 12th Classes and are eager to decide about their future career choices especially in the Post Covid World. EduSikh has been constantly working to Promote the education of Sikhs and this webinar was a step in that direction.

The Webinar was attended by around 150 students and their parents from all over India ( Mumbai, Dehradun, kolkata, and had three speakers:-

1. Prof RSS Mani- He is the Vice-President of ITM group of Institutions and eminent career Counsellor. He informed the students about the various career options after class 10 & Class 12.

2. Sd. K P Singh- He is the founder CEO of IMFS which is one of India’s largest Test Prep Centre for students going abroad. He guided the students about the various courses available to the students abroad and how they can start preparing for these.

3. Sd. Col. Mohinder Pal Singh (Retd.) - He retired after an illustrious career in the army and is now running his own academy to train students for careers in the Armed Forces. He took the students through the various careers in the Army, Navy & the Airforce.

The Program was hosted by Sd. Paramjeet Singh, Founder EduSikh. He then informed the students about the various Scholarships that are available for Sikh students ( under the minority quota) both at State level level and at the Central level. He urged students to take advantage of these scholarships so that it will help them in achieving their goals as well as it will reduce the burden on their parents especially in these times when the earnings are unsure.

He also informed about the scholarship offered by EduSikh for meritorious students as well as about the tie-ups that EduSikh has with some schools and colleges for GurSikh students under which they will get full/ partial funding for higher education courses like engineering, management etc. This was followed by a lively Question and answer session in which the students asked very infomed questions. It was very heartening to see the enthusiasm amongst the students in knowing more about various career choices.
