RISE - Re- Igniting Sikh Enterprise
R.I.S.E is an initiative by EduSikh, created to revive and strengthen the entrepreneurial spirit that has always been an integral part of the Sikh identity. While Sikhs have historically been known for their enterprise, over time, that spark has diminished — constrained by outdated practices, limited mentorship access, and lack of collective business learning. R.I.S.E was born from the realization that our community needed a platform to reignite that spirit, rebuild confidence, and reconnect business with values of integrity, seva, and excellence.
The initiative was soft-launched on the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh Ji on December 29, 2022, where EduSikh showcased twelve successful Sikh entrepreneurs and invited new and aspiring business owners to join. The overwhelming response, especially from women entrepreneurs, affirmed the need for such a platform.
R.I.S.E focuses on mentorship, community learning, and enterprise development through one-on-one guidance, group workshops, expert talks, and network access. It addresses the challenges faced by Sikh-owned enterprises—stagnation, reluctance to adapt, lack of planning, and isolation—and helps participants rethink their approach to business.
The first R.I.S.E event in Mumbai brought together Sikh professionals, business owners, and students to discuss the changing landscape of entrepreneurship and the role of mentorship in scaling up. Through collaborative learning and shared inspiration, R.I.S.E encourages Sikhs to not just do business, but to lead with integrity and innovation.
EduSikh believes that when individuals grow, communities rise—and R.I.S.E is our commitment to that vision.
