Inauguration of the EduSikh Skill Centre

On January 8, 2025, EduSikh Skill Academy achieved a significant milestone with the inauguration of its first dedicated Skill Centre, established in association with the Dadar Singh Sabha Gurudwara. The launch marked a new chapter in EduSikh’s ongoing mission to create accessible learning spaces that blend education, empowerment and community development.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura Ji, then Chairman of the National Commission for Minorities, as the Chief Guest. His presence added immense value to the event, reflecting his long-standing commitment to education, inter-community harmony, and social progress. In his address, S. Lalpura Ji emphasized the importance of skill-based education in building a self-reliant nation and commended EduSikh for its efforts to promote inclusive learning within the Sikh community and beyond.

The event brought together community leaders, educators, students and well-wishers from across Mumbai. Guests were given a tour of the new Skill Centre, which has been envisioned as a hub for holistic learning and personal transformation. The centre will offer a range of programs focusing on communication, digital literacy, entrepreneurship and life skills helping individuals of all ages prepare for future careers while strengthening their personal and social foundations.

In partnership with the Dadar Singh Sabha Gurudwara, EduSikh Skill Centre seeks to revive the Sikh tradition of learning and self-reliance through modern education. The collaboration reflects shared values of seva, discipline and empowerment, ensuring that every learner is supported not only academically but also emotionally and ethically.

The inauguration also featured interactions with previous EduSikh program participants, who shared how earlier workshops on personality development, career guidance and leadership skills had positively impacted their lives. Their experiences stood as testimony to the transformative power of education that EduSikh promotes.

The launch of the Skill Centre symbolizes EduSikh’s vision of creating meaningful change through education. It is more than just a physical space it is a movement to empower individuals to learn, grow and lead with integrity. Guided by the vision of community progress and inspired by the presence of leaders like S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura Ji, EduSikh continues to reaffirm its belief that education, when rooted in values, can truly uplift lives.
