EduSikh English and General Knowledge Quiz at GNIMS

On 4th April 2024, EduSikh conducted an engaging and knowledge-driven English and General Knowledge Quiz at the Guru Nanak Institute of Management Studies (GNIMS), Mumbai. The event brought together enthusiastic students, educators, and volunteers for a dynamic session that celebrated curiosity, collaboration, and the joy of learning.

The quiz was designed with EduSikh’s core philosophy in mind that learning should be interactive, participatory, and meaningful. Rather than simply testing memorized facts, the rounds encouraged students to think critically, communicate clearly, and apply what they knew in creative ways. The session blended elements of fun and challenge, allowing participants to explore how language and general awareness connect to everyday life, leadership, and informed citizenship.

The event began with an energetic introduction, setting the tone for a session full of enthusiasm and teamwork. Students were divided into teams, representing different departments, creating a healthy and vibrant competitive spirit. The quiz covered multiple rounds English grammar and vocabulary, current affairs, logical reasoning, and general awareness. Each round was carefully curated to spark interest while encouraging students to engage with real-world knowledge and analytical thinking.

The English rounds tested not only grammatical understanding but also comprehension and word usage through engaging exercises, idioms, and rapid-fire vocabulary challenges. The General Knowledge segment spanned topics from history and science to pop culture and global issues, making sure every participant found something relatable and exciting. The inclusion of audio-visual questions added a modern and interactive touch to the experience.

The energy in the room was electric. Teams discussed, debated, and cheered each other on as the rounds progressed. The audience, too, participated enthusiastically in bonus questions, making the event a collective learning experience rather than a formal competition. Faculty members and EduSikh facilitators guided the session, ensuring a balance of fun and focus throughout.

What made this quiz truly special was its purpose to promote learning as a shared journey rather than a solitary pursuit. EduSikh believes that when students learn collaboratively, they develop not only academic knowledge but also life skills like teamwork, confidence, and communication. The GNIMS quiz reflected this vision beautifully.

The winning teams were felicitated for their outstanding performance, but the highlight was the collective excitement and pride among all participants. Students expressed how the quiz helped them rediscover learning as something enjoyable and empowering.

The event concluded with a note of gratitude to the GNIMS management and faculty for their support and hospitality, and to the EduSikh volunteers whose effort and coordination made the session seamless.

Through initiatives like these, EduSikh continues to strengthen its mission using education as a form of seva, encouraging curiosity, and building learners who think critically and serve meaningfully. The GNIMS quiz on stood as a testament to that spirit where learning met laughter, competition met collaboration, and knowledge became a celebration.
