Commemorating One Year of EduSikh Skill Centre, Dadar

A Milestone in Community-Centred Education

EduSikh Skill Centre, Dadar marked its first anniversary with a dignified and thoughtfully curated gathering that reflected the institution’s commitment to purposeful, values-driven education.

The event brought together approximately 50–60 attendees, including senior educators, students, parents, community leaders and well-wishers. The evening provided a meaningful platform to reflect on the Centre’s journey, its growing impact and its future direction.

The programme commenced with formal addresses acknowledging the foundational support of Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Dadar, whose guidance and encouragement have played a vital role in EduSikh’s development. Their continued association has provided both moral and institutional strength to the Centre’s mission.

A key highlight of the anniversary celebration was the presence of distinguished speakers who addressed important dimensions of education and personal development.

Dr. Pushpinder Bhatia, Principal, Guru Nanak College of Arts, Commerce and Science, delivered an insightful address on Teacher Enhancement Initiatives. She emphasised the importance of continuous professional development, reflective pedagogy and academic leadership in nurturing well-rounded learners, reinforcing the belief that institutional progress begins with empowered educators.

Group Captain Paramjit Singh Ahluwalia (Retd.) presented a comprehensive session on Careers in Aviation, outlining the evolving opportunities within the aviation sector, the importance of discipline and technical competence, and the pathways available to aspiring professionals. His address served as both guidance and inspiration for students exploring specialised career options.

Mr. Gopal Sehjpal, International Trainer, Consultant and Coach, spoke on the Relevance of Personality Development in contemporary society. He highlighted the growing importance of communication skills, emotional intelligence, leadership presence and self-awareness in achieving professional success and personal growth.

Equally meaningful were the reflections shared by former students and faculty members. Their testimonials offered valuable insights into the Centre’s impact, demonstrating how focused mentorship, structured skill-building and a supportive learning environment contribute to confidence, clarity of purpose and long-term development.

The anniversary celebration was further enriched by the presence and support of organisations and individuals committed to Sikh education and community upliftment.
Likeminded Education & Welfare Society, an organisation dedicated to supporting the education of Sikh students, particularly through fee assistance - graciously extended their encouragement by contributing towards EduSikh’s mission. The trustees of the Society attended the event and expressed their appreciation for the Centre’s work in empowering the community through education.

In addition, SatSri Akal Trust and several well-wishers felicitated EduSikh Skill Centre on this occasion, recognising its efforts to provide accessible, ethical and skill-oriented education to learners from diverse backgrounds.

The anniversary programme served not only as a recognition of the past year’s achievements, but also as a reaffirmation of EduSikh’s broader mission:
to provide accessible, ethical and skill-oriented education rooted in community values.

The organising team extends its sincere gratitude to Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Dadar, Likeminded Education & Welfare Society, SatSri Akal Trust, all invited speakers, educators, volunteers and members of the EduSikh community for their continued support and participation.

As the EduSikh Skill Centre moves forward, it remains committed to strengthening educational access, nurturing talent and fostering a culture of lifelong learning.

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.
